In my research for cars, I'm looking at what engine management options are available. I'm a big fan of the PowerFC, both having worked with them on myself, and because a ton of tuners in North America are familiar with them.
While looking at the JZZ30 Soarer that someone kindly suggested to me, I found out the PowerFC for it was discontinued ages ago! Even more so, the models for the VVTi single turbo model I'm looking at are impossible to find used!
Of course there is the GReddy V-Manage that is a good unit, but a piggy back, and the HKS F-Con which is a standalone, but doesn't have a hand controller. On top of those two problems, North American tuners for those applications are quite rare.
Quite the thorn in my side. As much as I like the JZZ30, spending a third the cost of the car on a used ECU is a bit unappealing.
